Its been a busy month! Les has been to Perth, we’ve had a “full house” for each retreat, and the flu came to visit us (an unwelcome visitor!). But we are all well now and are looking forward to a few days away with our kids during the holidays.

The retreats are all booking out early so if you want to come, please make sure you book in advance.  We all need to “retreat” sometimes – us too. It will be lovely to go for walks along the beach, read a book or two, and try out some new recipes.

We have Kelley here helping us – and Maxeen coming back in September. But we are still looking for a fit, healthy, spiritual man who would like food and accomodation here at Heartland in exchange for keeping the gardens tidy, mowing, whipper snipping and looking after the vegetable garden.

The vegie garden  needs some TLC!  I have just planted about 50 lettuce but the winter crop is pretty sad! We had tons of cucumbers (now there is none!) and we’ve had millions of tomatoes…..and spinach. Everything has been growing really well and we have had an abundance of yummy organic produce, but unless more things get planted soon we won’t have anything but weeds in there. So if you know of a man looking for a place to live – and a place to call “home” it might be here at Heartland!
